Coveted Closets.
February has come and it has me thinking of spring! Especially fashion wise. I can't wait to bring all my dresses out of hiding!
This week, I came across a really neat site called The Coveteurs. It goes into the closets of fashionable people, mostly celebrities. Now, I am usually the last to know any kind of celebrity news, haven't really cared enough to keep up on it, but it's really kind of neat to scroll through and see who is really fashionable, what pieces they keep in their closets waiting to wear, who just has a stylist create their outfits!
One of my favourite tours was Cat Deeley. She is one classy lady. I've always liked her on 'So you think you can dance'. This video shows her lovely hostess self.

Fall Transitions.
Fall is here! And I love it. Autumn leaves, new blog viewers (thanks craft gawker!) cozy layers, and LOTS of baking. And I have double the fun - baking at home and work! Cranberry Raspberry Scones, anyone? Craving a delicious Blueberry Streusel Cake? Nope, can't transport them over blogland. Sorry! (but more for me!)

Road Trip {No.2}
Day three in Arizona and I'm having a fantastic time! Yesterday, we spent an afternoon at a baseball game, and then went to Culver's for supper. Such a quaint place for burgers and shakes!
Today, I did more than my share of shopping! Hopefully I'll have some outfit posts ready soon, when I have time. The time I spend by the pool takes up the majority of my day. It's a hard life.
I got some lovely spring clothes, including this fantastic tee. I finally found some lovely high waisted shorts. And some coral pants! Perfect for summer!

Winter + Spring.
You'd think that warm spring weather would have hit, but I'm still wearing extreme layers in April!
Like the wind-blown hair? Yes, that's a regular occurrence lately. Casual, cozy outfits are good for busy homework weeks!

Four Looks.
Introducing: Four January Looks!
(disclaimer: still figuring out my camera..hence the inconsistency)
Look 1: I paired a short-sleeved sweater with a long-sleeved thicker sweater. Keeps me warm all day!
Look 2: the basic jeans and sweatshirt, but adding a patterned scarf and a hair feather.
Look 3: Sometimes it's hard to style a coloured jean. I paired them with a chevron print that has the same blue in the top, keeping it a little monotone throughout.
Look 4: A few simple layers, but as long as it's layered, I'm still keeping the cold out, and not feel like I'm bundled up too much. And if I don't know how to finish an outfit, I throw a pendant on!
How do you stay warm in January? My solution? Layers!

Scarfing up some fall.
Fall is quickly passing me by! It's becoming close to my favourite season...but don't worry! Summer is still set into my soul. No blog name change here.
I have a favourite scarf. I wear it basically all the time. Just because it's that perfect. Here's two looks. One time with a cardigan and one time with a blazer. It is in a neutral colour, has a fantastic pattern, and is super soft! What's not to love?
I had to include these. These shoes barely leave my feet. Just peered over my mac at my feet. Yep, there they are.

Fall Wish List.
August is nearly halfway over. I know that's not the optimistic thought you would like to hear, but it's true. And it kind of makes me excited for fall! There is a confused tree that I see driving to work that is already completely yellow. Maybe it's just one of those trees that doesn't like the heat of summer, so it's changing things up. 'Hey, maybe if I turn yellow faster, the seasons will change to my liking!' (I haven't heard the tree say this, but if it could, it would).

Busy Bee.
I'm a busy bee. A busy bee I tell you! And not just because these pictures are in the garden. I'm working lots, and just put in my notice to leave good ol' Starbucks to go back to school. I am getting excited for my projects for my dorm room!
I took some pictures for a guest post on Mr. Taylor and His Lady that's coming up, but it's also going to be an outfit post for my readers for today! Double the fun!

I love these shoes! They have like a 1/4 inch heel, so they make a nice clicky sound, but are super comfortable!

Just Add Some Lace!
Have you ever had that shirt in your closet that you bought on impulse because it was 2 for one, and you only actually wanted one shirt? Well if you have, this is the post for you!
See this shirt? olive green. A fine colour. but as a plain cheap tank? not a fan.
Is that the same shirt you ask? Yes it is! But tastefully adorned with lace, and fancied into an outfit for a night on the town, it looks much better!

Hello heat.
It's hot outside! Its evening, and its still over 30 degrees Celsius! Yes, I just took these, and it's still that sunny out! Apparently I like to hide in the trees in the heat...just kidding. I need some opinions, that's why I took pictures, on my own, of myself.
The outfit:
shirt: Bluenotes (hey, they have cheap summer tanks, i'm okay with it)
shorts: Urban Behaviour (my favourite! They're like a fake tweed or something)
necklace: handmade by me
sunnies: left at work, so i snagged them up.
scarf: thrifted.
The question:
How do you feel about headscarves? I haven't been very drawn to them, but today I felt like trying it out. I'm really not sure how to tie it, but is it even worth it?

June Lovelies.
It is time for June Lovelies!
I would like to share three categories of June lovelies: music, fashion and photos.
Music.
So this is a little embarrassing. I want to share this song I found with you, so I took a picture of the itunes card i found it on. And I realize I look pretty much the exact same as yesterday (minus the super sweet glasses!)...so just wanted to clear up a few things.
1. I do not sit on my couch all the time. I simply have left my computer here the last while.
2. This is my only shirt where I have two in the same colour. And it is a VERY rare occurrence for me to wear it one day after wearing the other. It bothers me, it really does. My goodness, I hope I display fashion sense on a post sometime soon! This is becoming appalling.

Did anyone else pick up this freebie of a song a while back at Starbucks? This week, it's the song Calgary by Bon Iver! So get on down to your local Starbucks and get a free song! (They didn't pay me to say this. I only take a pay cheque for creating beverages, I promise!)
