Peruse {Food Edition}

Hello friends! This week, I started University, did lots of wedding planning, and ate! University doesn't have much to offer for a blog post, wedding planning has TOO MUCH to offer for a blog post (have you seen how many wedding apps there are?) so food it is! I've been trying some new recipes, inspired after the holidays. And I have lots of ideas to try yet. 

Here are a few of my favourites. I LOVE pasta, so this post might be an indication of that!

Here is a delicious baked ravioli recipe I tried.

The original recipe is on Martha Stewart. I adapted it a little bit. Instead of the ravioli, I used tortellini. I also took out the canned tomatoes (both kinds), and added a 156ml can of tomato paste, filled that can with water and added it. I also added about 10 cherry tomatoes, halved, as I had those on hand. I added some rosemary and some spinach just after the sauce has thickened. I baked mine with lactose free smoked gouda! Delicious!

 One of the next pasta dishes I want to try is Roasted Red Pepper and Goat Cheese pasta! It has a hint of cilantro as well. Looks divine!

Okay, lasagna is great on its own, but with roasted butternut squash? Yum! I can't wait to try this one! Maybe with herbed goat cheese as a lactose-free substitute?

I was a good blogger for a while hey? It's probably back to once a week, friends. I feel busy as a bee! My assignments for my class seem to have come all at once! I love it though. Who knew school could be this enjoyable? 

I came across Thrive furniture via A Beautiful Mess. I love it all! If only they shipped to Canada. Then i would save up money for 10 years... and buy one piece.

Peruse is a day late this week. Thanks to a lovely flu that decided to hit me the week I am trying to move in, start a new job, and enjoy the sun that finally came! Ah well, I'm on the mend! Here's this weeks links to peruse through!

This house tour is fantastic! This lovely lady from Making It Lovely knows how to decorate. My favourites are probably her living room and bedroom. Which ones strike your fancy?

I don't have any birthday parties to plan, but if I did, it would be like this one from Cakies! Maybe spoil my future niece or nephew?

Now that I'm starting to settle in, maybe I'll have time to craft! I think making a something herringbone will be on the top of my list. Perhaps with a stamp like this from A Beautiful Mess. 

Also from A Beautiful Mess, a few tips on adding plants. I know plants are tricky, cause they can look tacky, but here are some neat ways to display them, and some extremely interesting ways to grow them! I happen to like plants indoors, maybe I'll try them out. 

I don't remember if I've talked about these before, but these sunglasses from Tumbleweeds on Etsy are just so wonderful! I just bought new (cheap) sunglasses, but if I had some extra cash, this is where it would be going!

It's Monday again! It's exam week for me, five of 'em coming straight at me. My college days are nearly over! It's hard to believe. On a brighter note, just one week from today, I'm headed to somewhere bright and sunny! My friends and I are taking off on a two week road trip as one last hurrah. I'll try and pop by here to update you on some lovely road trip adventures! Oh the places we'll go!
